Appdbios

Appdbios: I sign my own IPA right on my iPhone.

You found the on appdb, and iOS still will not open it. Here you get ESign, which signs that file on the phone itself.

The installer page asks which platform you sign in on.

An IPA is the file an iPhone or iPad app ships in. iOS runs it only when it has a signature.
Signing stamps the app with a certificate, so the device agrees to launch it.

How the IPA reaches your iPhone

Outside the App Store, Apple allows sideloading only for app testing and development, so a downloaded IPA has to be before iOS runs it. ESign does that part on the device.

  • Pick iPhone or iPad on the shelf above, then hit the button.
  • The installer page asks for your platform and hands you ESign.
  • In ESign, add the IPA you already have, from Files.
  • Sign it and install it. The app shows up on your home screen.

iPhone or iPad: which one to choose

ESign for iPhone

For the app you want on the phone you carry. You sign and install it on that same iPhone.

ESign for iPad

For apps you want on the bigger screen. The same signing, done on the iPad itself.

Pick the device the app should run on. You can come back for the other one later.

Where are you right now?

What it won't do

ESign doesn't find apps for you. It signs and installs an IPA file you bring.
